Before closing escrow:
Final Walk-through: It is strongly recommended that within 5 days of closing escrow, you do a final walk-through of the property to check for any new damage? Turn on the water, flush the toilets and flick the switches. Do the appliances work? If something is not okay, get it straightened out before you close.
Build up your cash reserves: in case any un-expected home repairs come up.
